Hunt, R. Timothy
(n. 19 feb. 1943, Neston, Cheshire, Inglaterra).

Científico británico. Después de obtener un Ph.D. en la Universidad de Cambridge en 1968, realizó investigaciones en el Albert Einstein College of Medicine de Nueva York y, en 1990, se incorporó al Imperial Cancer Research Fund (actual Cancer Research UK) en Londres. A comienzos de la década de 1980, empleando erizos de mar, descubrió las ciclinas, proteínas que juegan un papel clave en la regulación de distintas fases del ciclo celular. Su trabajo condujo al descubrimiento de las ciclinas en los seres humanos, hecho de importancia en el diagnóstico de tumores. En 2001 compartió el Premio Nobel con Leland H. Hartwell y Sir Paul M. Nurse.
